Promotional merchandise makes people smile
Promotional merchandise makes people smile. It allows you to say thank you directly to a customer, which makes them feel appreciated, and therefore creates a loyalty to your brand.
Proof of this can be found in a survey conducted by the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA), which found that promotional products are six times more effective at making your customers feel appreciated than methods of print, web, direct mail, and TV.
This effect is even greater when the product you send is something the customer will find useful, with the largest marketing area being items found right on a customer’s desk, and items such as pens, calendars, mugs, and notepads are reported as being the most useful gifts.
These promotional products are also great because they put your brand name right on your customer’s desktop and in eye view, with 96% of people reporting that such items increased brand awareness, and an additional 83% being able to name a brand or company featured on a promotional product they’d received.
Promotional products are an unbeatable way of reaching out to your clients; but they’ll also motivate your customers to get in touch with you, with 82% of respondents having purchased from a company that they’d received a promotional product from, with more than 50% claiming that the promotional product had given them the incentive to do so.
From the company to the consumer, promotional products work, for so many reasons, and should be a serious consideration in any ad campaign.
